Six things I am actually hired to do
Most engagements start with an audit. What follows depends on what the audit finds — not on a package. If the fundamentals are broken, I will tell you that before you commit to anything.
How an engagement runs
01
Audit
Fixed scope, fixed price. I look at crawl, render, architecture and entity clarity before anyone writes a word. You get the findings whether or not we continue.
02
Sequence
The fixes go in an order, and the order is the deliverable. Most sites fail at layers one to three; nobody needs layer five optimised first.
03
Execute or advise
I implement, or I specify and review while your team or agency implements. Either works. Measurement is agreed before, not after.
The six
Where to start
Pick the one that sounds like your problem. They are listed in the order they usually need doing. If you are in a regulated sector, start with pharmaceutical and healthcare SEO instead, and see how pricing works.
01
Technical SEO & architecture
Crawl and index integrity, rendering, internal architecture, migrations. The layer everything else stands on.
02
Generative Engine Optimization
How large language models retrieve, summarise and cite you. Only once the foundation holds.
03
Content strategy & revamp
Reviving what already ranks instead of publishing more. Audit, re-derive intent, rewrite for extraction.
04
Arabic & international SEO
Genuine localisation across Arabic and Latin markets — not translated keywords.
05
Measurement & analytics
GA4, GTM and server-side, attribution, incrementality. Numbers you can defend in a board meeting.
06
Training & workshops
In-house teams or open programmes, Arabic or English. The frameworks I use on client work.
01
Technical SEO & site architecture
Crawl and index integrity, rendering, internal architecture, and migrations. This is the layer everything else stands on, and it is where almost every underperforming site I audit is actually failing.
- Crawl and index diagnostics, including AI crawler access (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended)
- Rendering audit — whether content exists in the served HTML or only after hydration
- Information architecture and internal linking structure
- Migration planning and post-migration recovery
- Core Web Vitals and crawl budget
02
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
Optimising content for how large language models retrieve, summarise and cite it. Undertaken only once the technical foundation holds — generative engines read pages that conventional retrieval already found.
- Answer-first content restructuring for passage extraction
- Semantic entity mapping and coverage gap analysis
- Cannibalisation control — critical, because there is no second result in an AI answer
- Entity clarity: Organization and Person schema, consistent facts across every surface
- Prompt-set monitoring across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude
03
Content strategy & revamp
Reviving what already exists usually beats publishing more. The URLs are indexed, they have age, some have links, and the marginal cost of a rewrite is a fraction of commissioning a new piece.
- Full content audit and classification by opportunity
- Intent re-derivation from the live SERP, not from when the article was written
- Rewriting for extraction rather than for length
- Internal linking in both directions, with an anchor-text map
- Consolidation and merge strategy for competing pages
04
Arabic & international SEO
Genuine localisation across Arabic and Latin markets — not translated keywords. I have run multilingual architecture across five language versions and Arabic content programmes for pharmaceutical brands in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
- hreflang and canonical handling across locales
- Arabic keyword research against how people actually search, by market
- Duplicate content control between regional variants
- Briefing and reviewing translators so non-English versions target real local demand
05
Measurement & analytics
Numbers you can defend in a board meeting. Most reporting problems are measurement-design problems, not dashboard problems.
- Measurement plans and KPI definition
- GA4 implementation; GTM, consent and server-side tagging
- Attribution, cross-platform reconciliation and incrementality
- Reporting that ties organic performance to commercial outcomes
06
Training & workshops
In-house teams or open programmes, in Arabic or English. The frameworks I teach are the ones I use on client work. See speaking and teaching for current programmes.
- In-house technical SEO and GEO training, tailored to your stack
- Open programmes and multi-session courses
- Workshop formats for marketing teams who brief agencies rather than implement
- Delivered in Arabic or English
Questions
What people ask before they hire me
SEO is about being found and ranked by conventional search engines. GEO — Generative Engine Optimization — is about being retrieved, summarised and cited when someone asks an AI assistant instead of a search engine. They are not alternatives. Generative engines overwhelmingly read pages that conventional retrieval already surfaced, so GEO sits on top of SEO rather than replacing it.
No, and the premise is backwards. If a crawler cannot reach, parse and trust your page, an answer engine will not quote it either. The technical foundation matters more now, not less, because there is no second result in an AI answer — you are either the cited source or you are invisible.
They lean on sources that are retrievable, unambiguous and internally consistent. In practice that means the content exists in the served HTML, the page answers a question directly near the top, the entity facts agree across your site and off-site profiles, and you are not competing with three of your own pages for the same question.
No, and be careful with anyone who does. I can guarantee the diagnosis, the sequence of fixes and the measurement design. Ranking and citation outcomes depend on competition and on what gets implemented.
That is most of my work. I audit, specify and review; your developers or your agency implement. I am equally happy to implement directly on WordPress.
Yes, both, and Arabic SEO is a specialism rather than a translation service. Arabic keyword demand does not map onto translated English keywords, and dialect varies by market — Egypt and Saudi Arabia do not search the same way.
Most of my client work is pharmaceutical and healthcare, which means YMYL content held to an evidence standard, often in two languages, under regulatory constraint. The practical difference is that claims have to be sourced and reviewed, so the content process includes medical and regulatory review rather than working around it.
Audits are fixed-scope and fixed-price. Ongoing work is quoted after the audit, because quoting a programme before seeing the crawl data is guesswork. You get the audit findings whether or not we continue.
Free AI visibility audit
Not sure which of these you need?
Start with the audit. I check whether conventional crawlers and AI answer engines can reach, read and cite your site, then tell you which of these six is actually your problem — in the order I would fix it.
Three working days, by email. No call unless you want one, and no follow-up sequence. What the audit covers.
